No NCC Camp in Nov and Dec 2010

There is no NCC Camp in Nov 2010 because there are too many activities. There can be no camp in Dec 2010 as all teachers are overseas.

Holiday trainings

Sorry people, the training on 18 Nov 10 is cancelled. There will be no training till further notice.
As for the camp, it has been cancelled.

As for the post-Christmas training, the information will be given 2 weeks before the actual training so pls do give feedback when asked for. And please do go for trainings. Your attendance will be reflected in your report books. And for those people who are skipping trainings, please do go for all trainings. The specialist will deal with those who are not going for trainings without valid reasons.

23 to 26 Nov 10 - NCC Freestyle Drill Course (2 Part B cadets)
22 to 25 Nov 10 - NCC Engineer Camp for Part C cadets (2 Part C cadets)
6 to 10 Dec 10 - Camp Pinnacle for Part C cadets - 2 Part C cadets
29 Nov to 1 Dec - NCC Basic First Aid Course - 2 Part B cadets
22 to 23 Nov - Survival Course (2 Part C cadets)

Overseas:
8 to 10 Nov 10 - Mt Ophir Expedition for Part C cadets (East) - 36 cadets with 4 accompanying officers (Mr Phoa + 7 Part B and C cadets)
All please take note that the cadet that come for today training are required to hand in the forms to 2ndsgt Dino on monday. And please inform others that did not turn for today training of the events that is going to happen.

CHANGES TO SPEC COURSE

The Specialist Course in June will be different from the March intake.

The differences are as below:


NON-RESIDENTIAL COURSE
1.The 3 Day Specialist Courses conducted for Land Districts will be
non-residential course.
Cadets will report to NCC Campus by 0800 hrs and return home at1800 hrs.
Meals will be provided i.e Tea break (AM), Lunch and Tea break(PM).
AMENDED TRG PROG
2. The amended Trg Progs are attached. Units can request for revision
lessons on TF and IFC at district level from 24 May to 31 May 10.
C2D PROGRAMME
3. For the C2D Programme, (2nd day), cadets will report direct to SDC
Carpark .

NAVY OPEN HOUSE(21may fri)

Mess tins and stoves


This is a picture of two Mess Tins. They can be bought at the army shop at Tampines or Bedok. They come in sets of two.

This is a picture of a stove and some solid fuel tablets (hexamine). They can also be bought at the army shop. The white cubes are solid fuels, and the metal structure is the stove. They are sold separately in the army shops.

Speech Day Rehearsals

Damai Secondary holds an annual Speech Day Event to award prizes to the top students of their respective cohort. I am pleased to announced that NCC Damai will be the Guard-of-Honour (GOH) for the Speech Day Parade.

After getting a bronze unit for so many years, we are finally a step closer to our aim.
